Dr. Peter Kubitz is double board certified by both the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He grew up in Southern California, where he completed his undergraduate training at California State University, Fullerton, later completing medical school at Western University of Health Sciences.
He then went on to complete his residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and now practices as a physiatrist, specializing in pain management. A physiatrist is a medical doctor (MD) or doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) who specializes in diagnosing and treating both acute pain and chronic pain, and offering a broad array of nonsurgical treatments for the musculoskeletal system.
He is in private practice in Phoenix, Arizona and a Co-Founder of Pain Consultants of Arizona. In addition, he currently serves as the Medical Director for Honor Health Pain Management Center, a single-specialty ambulatory surgical center providing state-of-the-art interventional treatment options for patients with pain.
Dr. Kubitz has been included in Phoenix Magazine’s Top Doctor yearly awards for the specialty of pain management as well as physical medicine and rehabilitation for many years dating back to 2010.
